Recall of NP Thyroid Tablets
On June 10, 2020, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) announced that Acella Pharmaceuticals, LLC is voluntarily recalling 13 lots of NP Thyroid Tablets, 30mg, 60mg and 90mg as a Class I Recall.
Acella Pharmaceuticals is only recalling some lots because testing has found them to contain a higher percentage of an ingredient than what is listed on the label. The product may have up to 115% of the ingredient Liothyronine (T3).
Please note that not all lots are affected, so you may not be affected by this recall. Your health and safety are important to us. If you are currently taking NP Thyroid Tablets, 30mg, 60mg or 90mg that are made by Acella Pharmaceuticals LLC, please contact your health care provider to discuss which other treatments or medicines made may be appropriate.
