Horizon NJ Health Awarded Commendable Accreditation by NCQA

Horizon NJ Health, New Jersey’s largest Medicaid and NJFamilyCare managed healthcare organization, today announced that it has  earned a Commendable Accreditation status from the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA). Horizon NJ Health is a wholly owned subsidiary of Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey.


NCQA Health Plan Accreditation is a nationally recognized program that evaluates the quality of health care services that health plans provide to their members. Health Plan Accreditation performance results are publicly reported in five categories including: Access and Service, Qualified Providers, Staying Healthy, Getting Better and Living with Illness.

NCQA is the industry’s most meticulous, comprehensive and transparent health care accreditation program. It provides consumers and businesses with an unbiased third-party review to verify, score and publicly report health plan performance across the nation.
