Mom's GEMS Prenatal Program

Horizon NJ Health created Mom's GEMS to ensure that its expectant members receive proper prenatal care and education on how to have a healthy pregnancy and baby by "Getting Early Maternity Services" (GEMS).

When a woman joins Mom's GEMS, she can look forward to receiving help with the following benefits:

• The selection of an Ob/Gyn or Certified Nurse Practitioner.
• Routinely scheduled office visits with her Ob/Gyn or Certified Nurse Practitioner throughout her pregnancy.
• The selection of a Dentist.
• The ability to make additional appointments, as needed, with her Ob/Gyn or Certified Nurse Practitioner without a referral.
• Access to specialist physicians, as needed.
• Advice on a pregnancy-healthy lifestyle, including nutrition, smoking cessation and oral health.
