Save Latin America is dedicated to informing Hispanics in the U.S. about opportunities available to them, including health, immigration, housing, and education support. The nonprofit group has been advocating for the rights of Hispanics in northern New Jersey and New York since 1991. Their goal is to help assimilate Hispanics into mainstream American society and lessen obstacles of low- to moderate-income Hispanics arriving in the U.S.

The organization offers a wide range of free programs and services, including:

  • Health screenings
  • Cancer prevention
  • Seminars and conferences on a variety of subjects
  • Financial counseling
  • Immigration support
  • Home energy assistance
  • Public service and general information

Their Reaching Our Dreams program attempts to reduce the crisis of extremely high dropout rates among young Hispanics, offering motivation and support to stay in school.

Save Latin America is headquartered at 138 39th Street, Union City. NJ 07087. At this location, a Community Resource Center is available and open to the public daily, where people can come to learn more about resources available in their community, such as access to health care.
